Introduction
Moisture, mold and mildew are the greatest natural enemies of building materials and quality of living. At the same time, moisture in living areas and basements combined with lowered pH values are the breeding ground for health endangering molds and mildews. Moisture dissolves and destroys stone salt through scum, which is externally visible, (i.e., on mineral plaster, clinker, etc.). Stone and plaster lose their stability and entire masonry can be ruined.
In the May 2007 issue of „Test“ results were presented that show existing products which are used against mold and mildew in homes are either partly ineffective or can be dangerous for humans. The products, which were well tested, contain chemicals, which could also lead to illnesses in humans. Allergies could result or damages to breathing passages.
And now NewPro offers a remedy and a natural alternative. The NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover destroy mold and mildew using biological processes. It uses an impregnated solution based on renewable resources, which cause a biological reaction. The NewPro Mold and Mildew Remover is designed for both interior and exterior use. Vapor diffusion is not affected.
The original mineral structures are rebuilt and stabilized. Moisture, mold, mildew, fungal decay, dry rot and scum do not develop on the masonry anymore, so that pleasant interior air/climate conditions develop. The masonry dries again and likewise a sealant, which ensures that mold and mildew can no longer develop or spread. We are not familiar with any products on the market comparable to the NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover, which also is based on a natural biological process and offers permanent protection. Range of Application and Use/Appropriate Surfaces
The range of application and use for the NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover include all building surfaces; including interiors and exteriors.
The structure of the surface can consist of the following:
• Cement
• Clinker
• Mineral Surfaces or Stone
• Plaster Stone Materials.
Stone surfaces mainly consist of a mixture of minerals, plaster and other minerals. Through their production they have an innumerable amount of pores with different forms and sizes, which exist in other geometrical forms so they can form capillaries, which go through the entire stonework. It is important that these capillaries be ventilated or are able to be ventilated, which means in practice that they are not closed externally by an airtight layer.
Product Characteristics/Features
NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover is an organic, plant-based, solvent-free and toxicologically harmless hydrophobic cleaning agent, which does not cause any known allergies. This natural product builds upon the original material structures, stabilizes, consolidates and reinforces mineral plaster and stone. The water vapor diffusion is not affected. NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover is designed for mineral building materials for interior or exterior use in both old and new buildings with an optimal increase in the stability value and living quality.
With professional treatment of the masonry and the mineral plaster, NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover ensures that damage from external environmental influence is stopped. A biophysical process is triggered, which restores the approximate original properties of the stone and increases the pH value.

Through spraying or applying NewPro Mold and Mildew Remover onto firm and ventilated stone surfaces, after drying of the follows a thin film in the areas of the capillaries, pores and canals of the stone is formed.
Through an antibacterial and antifungal effect, every kind of fungal decay and growth of other kinds of mold, mildew or yeasts are stopped.
Instructions for Application and Use
Pretreatment of the Surface:
NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover is designed for use on all absorbent mineral building materials for the interior or exterior of all old and new buildings. For all building surfaces, which are to be treated for hydrophobia – interior and exterior – all existing paints and nonabsorbent synthetic plasters as well as dirt and grime (including fungal decay) must be removed first. The surface must be clean, dust free and absorbent. Loose plaster must either be removed or renewed.
In interior areas we recommend removing the wallpaper on the affected surface. Cleaning can be effectuated either mechanically or with organic acids. We recommend NewPro Cleaning Concentrate for chemical cleaning.
Caution:
Do not apply any technical acids with NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover.
After the hydrophobia process is complete, any affected adjacent surfaces should be immediately cleaned off with sufficient water. Glazed clinker, which absorbs only over the splices, should also be subsequently cleaned.
Instructions for Application and Use
Application:
The application of NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover can be carried out in the following two steps.
Step One:
The first application should be effectuated directly after the mixture of the solution.
The minimum quantity of the application of the end product is 0.5 liters per square meter.
Approximately 1 liter of NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover plus 10 ml Aktivator. Slowly stir NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover with a stirring staff. Apply the final product using a pressure pump atomizer horizontally from bottom up or in a crisscross fashion. The final product can also be applied using a paintbrush.
Step Two:
After approximately 30 minutes, the second step in the application process should be effectuated with a repeat of the first step. The minimum amount of final product used in the second step is 0.2 liters per 1 square meter.
Recommendation: For higher moisture application or pressurized water the Aktivator should be increased to 30 ml per liter of NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover (general standard is 10ml).
Use:
• The standard amount of product use of NewPro Mold and Mildew Remover used is 0.7 liter per square meter, which includes the Aktivator part. (1 liter NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover consists of approximately 990 ml of NewPro Mold and Mildew Remover and 10 ml of Aktivator=final product).
Required Conditions for Use/Application
The temperature during application should be greater than +5° Celsius for the objects - and in the hardening process temperature. This temperature should also continue or be maintained during the setting time. The biophysical reaction process takes approximately 2-4 weeks..
Delivery Form
Packaging Sizes:
• 0.5 liters with 5 ml Aktivator
• 1.0 liters with 10 ml Aktivator
• 10.0 liters with 100 ml Aktivator.
Color:
Nearly colorless/clear when dry. In order to test the coloration properties, a sample should first be tested on a non-visible part of the surface.

• Under frost-free storage conditions, the shelf life of the product should be a minimum of 2 years.

• Do not store NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover and Aktivator at temperatures under +5°C.
Do not store NewPro-Mold and Mildew Remover mixed with the Aktivator as end product.
The end product mixture must always be completely used up.
Safety and Protective Measures
Protect adjacent building surfaces. Wear protective eye gear and gloves. Refer to our product data safety sheets. Hydrophobia treated surfaces should be protected against wetness until the surface is completely dry. Please refer to and follow the general safety and protective measures for water solvent chemicals.
