Product Discription

Water/weathering impregnation for natural and absorbent surfaces as well as cast stone and clinker with an additive for the reduction of algae and moss formation. For indoor and outdoor application.

Range of Application and Use

NewPro-Microsan W5K-Special Hydrophobic treatment, solvent-free water/ weathering protective impregnation used for facades and construction components on the following:

• Absorbent clinkers

• Cement and lime finishes

• Mineral artificial stone

• Paving-stones and other outside flooring materials

• Sand, as well as other natural stone construction.

Product Properties

NewPro-Microsan W5K Special Hydrophobic treatment is a water-rejecting protective layer based on silane with micro-expanding refined particles. It dries colorlessly and clearly and minimizes salt efflorescence, fungus growth, frost damage, and moss and algae formation.

Notice:

Up to a 25% loss of warmth for masonry can occur as a result of moisture or humidity. A fully functional wetness protecting hydrophobic treatment to the external walls can, thus, result in a substantial savings in energy costs.

Technical Data

Bonding Agent:

• Silane with micro-expanding particles.

Specific weight:

• Approximately 1 g/cm.

Diffusion resistance:

• Value according to DIN 52615:Sd= 0.012 (m).

Instructions Regarding Use/Application

Surface Preparation:

All surfaces must be clean, dry and grease-free. Carefully pre-treat weathered surfaces, e.g. for the renovation of old-buildings renovation. Thoroughly remove all grime, soot, dust deposits, scum and moss by washing, or carefully steaming or using water pressure. Remove all unsustainable or loose parts or pieces.

Mixing Instructions:

• First pour the concentrate (approx. 1000ml = 1 part) into a container.

Depending on the suction power of the surface, add water:

• 2 parts (low suction power) to

• 4 parts (high suction power).

The concentrate (approx. 1000ml) is to be mixed and stirred with up to 7 parts water depending on the suction force/absorption of the surface.

Application:

Apply NewPro-Microsan W5K-Special hydrophobic to the surface from top to bottom completely to the point of saturation with a brush, spraying device (airless), or deluge.

Machine/Mechanical Application:

NewPro-Microsan W5K-Special Hydrophobic treatment can be applied with a standard airless spraying device.

Use:

• Saturation results after approximately 100 to 1,000 ml per m².

These are approximate values, which can vary depending on the absorbency of the surface.

Exact material requirements are to be determined by a sample coating on the object.

Required Conditions for Use/Application

The application and drying can be carried out with a surface area and air temperature between min. + 5° Celsius and max. + 30° Celsius.

The material is not to be applied when temperatures exceed + 25° Celsius under direct sunlight.

Protect the coated surface against rain during periods of drying.

Drying Times:

• With approx. 20°C and 80 % air humidity

• Touch dry         approx.   3 hours.

• Completely dry   approx. 24 hours.

Dependent on temperature and relative air humidity.

Cleaning of the tools:

• Immediately after use with water.

Form of Delivery

Packing Units:

• 1000 ml Concentrate

• Packing Unit M = 15 bottles at 1.000 ml

• 30 liter. Concentrate in plastic container.

Color:

• Milky, in dried condition colorless.

Special Notices

Transport:

• Non-labeled and non-hazardous material.

Storage:

• Approximately 6-month shelf life in a mixed condition by cool (approx. 5 to 15°C) and frost-protected storage.

• Approximately 1-year shelf life by cool and frost-protected storage in closed original packaging.

Work Hygiene

Before breaks and at the end working with the product, wash hands thoroughly.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Avoid eye and skin contact with the product. If necessary, wear protective clothing.

Saftey Precautions

Keep away from children. Keep containers sealed tightly closed. In the event of eye contact, immediately wash eyes out with water. In the event of skin contact, wash skin thoroughly with water and soap. If necessary, seek the advice of a doctor or physician. Do not smoke during application and use. If swallowed seek immediate medical advice and show the packaging or product label to the treating physician.
