A new anti chewing gum coating for gentle surface utilization.

Range of Application and Use

Protection impregnation Gum Magic for sucking surfacesof natural as well as artificial stone, concrete and clinkers with an addition to diminish algae, moss formation as well as for decreasing the attachment of chewing gums.

Gum Magic is used as solvent-free protection impregnation on:

• concrete and concrete stones

• Mineral artificial stones

• Paving stones and other external floor coverings

• Sand- as well as other natural stones

• Sucking clinkers.

Product Specification

Gum Magic is a protective layer based on the basis of a silane finished with paraffin wax parts. It desiccates colourlessly and of course and reduces efflorescence of salt, moss and algae vegetation.

Further qualities are:

• fast drying

• firedamp-firm

• hydrdophobic (protects the subsoil against moisture)

• protects from UV-Radiation

• reduces the algae and moss formation

• resistant against de-icing salts, acid rain and car exhaust emissions

• slight workmanship

• solvent free

• to a great extent of colourlessness

• to adjust airless spraying consistency

• water vapour permeability

• weather-proof.

Technical Data

Binding agent basis:

• Silane with paraffin wax parts.

Specific gravity:

• approx. 1 g/cm.

Diffusion resistance:

• Evaluate to DIN DIN 52615:Sd= 0,012 (m).

Instructions Regarding Use

Preparation of surfaces:

All subsoils must be clean, dry and fat-free. Already weathered subsoils, e. g. the old-building renovation, must be processed carefully remove thoroughly, soot, dust deposit, effloresce and moss vegetation cautiously steam with pressurized water blasting thoroughly. Non sustainable and loose parts are eliminated.

Mixing instructions:

• Fill concentrate (powder approx. 1000 ml = 1 part) into a receptacle.

On that in dependence of the sucking-strength of the subsoil:

• 1 parts (small sucking) to

• 2 parts (strong sucking) water for this purpose given.

Workmanship:

Apply Gum Magic from top down up to the saturation of the subsoil with brush, airless spraying tools or streaming onto the subsoil put on.

Machine/Mechanical Application:

Gum Magic can be processed with usual airless spraying tools.

Use:

• Saturation after approx. 100 to 1.000 ml per m².

These figures are approximate which maybe vary depending on the sucking ability of the subsoil.

Precise material requirements needs to be determined through a trial coating at the object.

Required Conditions for Use/Application

Application and drying can be done in subsoil and surface temperature between min.
+ 5° Celsius and max. + 30° Celsius.

The material must not be processed with temperatures above +25°C and direct UV- radiation.

Drying time:

• at approx. 20°C and 80 % of humidity

• approx. touch-dry    3 hr.

• drained approx.      24 hr.

Dependent on temperature and relative humidity.

Cleaning of Tools:

• Clean immediately with water.

Form of delivery

Packing unit:

• 5 or 30 litre. Concentrate in plastic can.

Color:

• milky, in dried state colourless.

Special Notices

Transport:

• Unlabeled and non-hazardous.

Storage:

• Into the mixed state cool last at (approx.+ 5 to 15° Celsius) and frost protected storage approx. six days

• approx. 1 year lastingly if stored, frost protected, in originally shut wrapping.

Work Hygiene

Before breaks and at the end working with the product, wash hands thoroughly.
Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Avoid eye and skin contact with the product. During use, wear protective gloves, protective glasses and protective clothing, and if necessary, breathing apparatus.

Safety Precautions

Keep away from children. Keep containers sealed tightly closed. In the event of eye contact, immediately flush eyes out with water. In the event of skin contact, wash skin thoroughly with water and soap. Do not apply solvents or cleaning detergents.
If necessary, seek the advice of a doctor or physician. Do not smoke during application and use. If swallowed seek immediate medical advice and show the packaging or product label to the treating physician.

If moisture penetration and/or a washing out of the freshly applied Gum Magic should occur, carry out a second impregnation after drying. Remove clean items impurities through Gum Magic on not mineral, for example spouts, timber, windows, dense burned clinkers and glazed piece of pottery, with water.
