Product Description

NewPro-Brandopox Water KSW325 is a 2-component epoxy resin repair and protective coating for drinking water conduits and containers.

Range of Application and Use/Appropriate Surfaces

NewPro-Brandopox Water KSW325 was specially designed for application to metal surfaces such as:

• Cast Iron

• Copper

• Steel.

Product Characteristics/Properties

NewPro-Brandopox Water KSW325 only contains materials which comply with the corresponding UBA-Epoxide Resin Guidelines and DVGW-Worksheet W270 (Microbiology).

• 2 N/mm.

Surface Hardness:

• 73 Shore D.

Instructions Regarding Use/Application

Surface preparation:

All surfaces must be sustainable, clean and free from loose particles or particles which can compromise adhesion such as grease, as the corresponding area of application or surface requires.

Abrade the surface with sandpaper to improve adhesion. The sand steel garde is SA 2.5.

Mixing Instructions:

NewPro-Brandopox KSW325 component A (basis/resin) and component B (hardener) are coordinated as delivered. Completely pour component B (hardener) into the hobbock of component A (basis/resin) and thoroughly mix with a mechanical coil mixer (max. 400 U/min) for 3 minutes until a streak free mass results.

The optimal mixture results in a saturated olive-green color.

Use/Application:

Apply NewPro-Brandopox KSW325 evenly and thoroughly by hand using an appropriate brush or spattle.

The time required for application lies between approximately 12 to 15 minutes at +20°C.

Caution:

In the event of eye contact, immediately flush eyes and wash out with clean water. In the event of skin contact, immediately and thoroughly wash off with clean water.

Machine Application:

Notice:

The product covers a wide range of application and use. Therefore, we recommend a test to the surface to determine suitability for the intended purpose prior to use.

Use:

An exact amount of required material for the intened purpose is to be determined with a test application to the surface of the object.

Required Conditions for Use/Application

The application can be effectuated with a surface and area temperature of a min. +5°C. At higher temperatures, there is a shortening of the hardening times, which can be seen in the following table.

Cleaning of tools:

• Immediately after use, clean tools with acetone or a comparable cleaning solvent.

Units Per Package:

• Component A 16.0 kg (basis/resin) comes in a 30 L hobbock and component B 4.9 kg in a 5 L tin bucket.

Color:

• Olive-green.

Further Instructions

Transport:

• Basis/resin is classified as Class 9 and the hardener is classified as Class 8

• Component A (basis/resin) and component B (hardener) are classified as hazardous materials

• WGK 2.

Storage:

• Can be stored cool, frost-free in the original closed packaging for approximately 1 year.

Work Hygiene

When using chemicals, the safety precaution measure according to the EU safety data sheets are to be observed. The appropriate protective clothing, protective gloves as well as protective goggles and facial protection are to be worn at all times when handling the product.

Safety Precautions

Keep away from children. Keep containers sealed tightly closed. In the event of eye contact, immediately flush eyes out with water. In the event of skin contact, wash skin thoroughly with water and soap. Do not smoke during application and use. If swallowed seek immediate medical advice and show the packaging or product label to the treating physician. Before breaks and after use, wash hands thoroughly. Do not eat, drink or smoke while using. Avoid contact to eyes and skin.
