Description

NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 is a product for indoor and outdoor surfaces to effectuate hydrophobia (water repellency) impregnation, the conservation and surface reinforcement of all mineral building substances, the conservation and surface reinforcement of natural wood as well as the improvement of water vapor diffuseeability and the creation of a hydrophobic effect on water soluble diffusible paints.

Range of Application and Use

NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 is an impregnation and protection against graffiti (it is currently being tested by an independent institution). The product is an organic-mineral hydrophobia agent (creating a water repellent effect). The concentrate is a base  material for numerous products used for building protection, both old and new buildings (interiors and exteriors). It is also designed for color clinker, bricks, mineral plaster and for subsequent impregnation of previously impregnated building substances. It can be applied to walls, flat roofs and terraces or patios.

NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 can be mixed with paints up to 5%; by which the paint coating is given additional hydrophobic properties.

Application Instructions

NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 is a sensitive product therefore contamination with foreign substances must absolutely be avoided. Do not use in combination with other substances.

Depending on the concentration table (below), NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 must be mixed with water. Do not store the mixed solution for later reuse because its effect can be diminished. Do not mix extracted product with the original packaged product (do not return it back into the original container).

Mix NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 with ordinary tap water using a mixing tool. The finished mixed product is to be applied with flooding technique, brush, roll brush or spray technique thickly in 2 coats. ONLY MIX WHAT CAN BE USED WITHIN 2-3 HOURS. If the product comes into contact with adjacent surfaces, thoroughly rinse off with water.

The surface must be clean, dirt and dust free, dry and absorbent. A wet surface leads to shallow penetration depths and even possibly to blotching.

The amount of product needed depends on the absorbency of the surface and can be tested and determined by applying the product to a small sampie area of the surface prior to complete application.

Temperature: > -10 - 25 °C 

Residence time: 10 min.

NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 requires one to several coatings. The best method is the flood method. However, it can also be applied thickly using a brush or spray device. Recommended flood device: ZKF-Spraying Machine with the manufacturer's various flooding nozzles.

It can be applied to all indoor or outdoor absorbent porous surfaces. For outdoor surfaces, all hydrophobic or impregnable surfaces are to be protected against rain. NewPro-HydroProtection 3000 is a natural watery extract, supplemented with minerals. Skin and eye protection is recommended when handling product.

It is further recommended that workers using the product are properly instructed and trained with regard to the application and use of the product. New HydroProtection 3000 can be used to treat and conserve mineral plasters, brick, natural and limestone plaster, clinker as well as natural woods. Protect all non-alkaline building surfaces or materials, for example using NewPro Strippable Varnish liquid Folio.

Work Hygiene

Before breaks and at the end working with the product, wash hands thoroughly. Do not eat, drink
or smoke during use. Avoid eye and skin contact with the product. If necessary, wear protective
clothing and a breathing apparatus during use or application. The use of medium-resistant gloves is
recommended (nitrile rubber or other appropriate gloves).

Safety Precautions

Keep away from children. Keep containers sealed tightly closed. In the event of eye contact, immediately flush eyes out with water.
